Days with restricted access
The forest hosts many activities during the year. Most activities can be carried out while there are riders on the South Funen Riding Route, but sometimes there may be problems if everyone is using the forests and fields at the same time.
There are periods when work is performed in the forests and this creates a lot of activity and traffic. Hunting, orienteering, cycling and jogging events etc. are also sometimes organised. Therefore, the South Funen Riding Route or parts of it may be closed for some days.
The days with restricted access are typically concentrated in the hunting season – autumn and winter. These days are always announced at least 14 days in advance here on the website, so it is important that you keep yourself informed when you are planning a ride.
In the buck hunting season, from May 16th to July 16th, it is only allowed to ride on the route network between 8 am and 6 pm. The exceptions are Svanninge Mountains and the Danish Nature Agency’s area, where during this period riding is allowed from 6 am to sunset.
