Partnership

The South Funen Bridle Route (Riderute Sydfyn) has been established through a rewarding collaboration involving five south Funen landowners: Holstenshuus, Steensgaard, Brahetrolleborg, BikubenFonden and Danish Nature Agency Funen, as well as Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality and Naturturisme I/S. This collaboration – which includes a number of other participating landowners – has made it possible to establish a large interconnected network of bridle routes.

The collaboration is formally organised as a partnership in which Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality and Naturturisme I/S participate in the project until the end of 2016. After this, it will be assessed whether the partnership should be continued or whether it should solely comprise the landowners involved.

Up until now, the partnership has been responsible for establishing the bridle route and constructing the website. From now on the partnership will be responsible for project marketing and ongoing project development.

Income from selling bridle passes will be used to maintain the bridle route, update the website and develop new offers for equestrian enthusiasts.

The establishment of the South Funen Bridle Route is financially supported by Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality, LAG Faaborg, the Danish Outdoor Council and Naturturisme I/S.
